Mr Brain’s celebrates alongside the greats!
As Mr Brain’s celebrates a staggering 90 years as the nation’s favourite faggots, we decided to find out who else has a reason to party in 2015.
Kicking off the celebrations, it was hard to miss the 30th anniversary of EastEnders with live episodes going on air in February. More than 10 million people tuned in to watch the historic live episode with viewers finally learning who killed the controversial character, Lucy Beale.
This year will also mark the 30th anniversary of the amazing charity Comic Relief, which since its establishment has raised almost £1 billion in order to tackle poverty in Britain and around the world.
It’s hard to believe that it will be 40 years since the epic Fawlty Towers, one of our all time favourite TV programmes, was first introduced to our TV screens. Since then, the incredible sitcom has rightly earned its place as a British cult classic despite only having filmed a total of 12 episodes.
The Guinness Book of Records also has a reason to party in 2015. The book is celebrating 60 years as the ultimate authority in record breaking achievements. During this time it has verified countless world records. Alas, we’re still waiting for the world’s tallest tower of Mr Brain’s faggots to be made!
There are certainly some important dates to recognise this year. However, without a doubt we are most excited about the anniversary of Mr Brain’s, which was established a whopping 90 years ago in the West Country.
Mr Brain’s 90th anniversary is guaranteed to make 2015 a year to remember. Keep an eye out on our Facebook and Twitter pages to see how we’ll be celebrating. If you, a friend or relative are turning 90 this year, why don’t you send us a photo of your 90th birthday celebration and we will send you a Mr Brain’s shopping bag and tea towel*.
